The city of Stuttgart has been offering a heating replacement program since 2018.

By replacing coal-fired furnaces and oil-fired boiler systems with more climate-friendly alternatives, CO2 emissions are to be reduced and air quality improved.

The systems are replaced with local or district heating, environmental heat or gas. Outside the inner city districts and Bad Cannstatt, wood pellets with dust filters can also be used.

The subsidy amount can be found on the website of the city of Stuttgart: www.stuttgart.de/leben/wohnen/wohnbaufoerderung/heizungsaustauschprogramm.php.

Important: It is recommended to apply for the subsidy before you commission or carry out the heating system replacement.
