Greening in the city is not just pleasing to the eye. It's also an important part of reducing particulate pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, plants bring a cooling effect, which is a big plus especially on hot days in the boiler. The Office of Urban Planning and Housing of the state capital Stuttgart therefore supports initiatives by citizens to green up - be it a courtyard, a facade or a roof - through the city's greening program. The coordination office for urban greening programs is the central point of contact for free advice before starting or during a greening project. Financial support can also be applied for when unsealing and greening spaces in the city center.
