You don't want to use a car for the way to the kindergarten or the family shopping? But an e-bike is still too expensive for you? Then the city of Stuttgart offers a great program for you.
Through the E-Lastenrad subsidy program, families (at least one child) living in Stuttgart are subsidized if they want to buy or lease an E-Lastenrad. Currently the subsidy is 800 euros, from 2023 onwards 600 euros will be subsidized. If the e-bike replaces a car in the family household over a period of three years, a sustainability bonus of 500 euros can also be applied for. The prerequisite is that the e-bike is used for at least three years.
Since a cargo bike costs significantly more than 600-1100 euros, lower-income families who have a FamilyCard or a Bonuscard+Culture are supported with an additional social bonus.
