In addition to finger food and other appetizers, buffets at New Year's Eve or birthday parties always include a few delicious dips. We have discovered two great vegan variations for you:

Vegan cashew dip
This dip is the perfect alternative to cream cheese and sour cream. The cashew nuts give the dip a creamy consistency. And they are also very healthy: cashews are rich in healthy fats, B vitamins, vitamin K, magnesium and phosphorus.

The following ingredients are required:

  • 80 g cashew nuts
  • 100 ml unsweetened almond or oat milk
  • 1-2 tbsp yeast flakes
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 2-3 tsp lemon juice
  • salt & pepper
  • To taste: Garlic, paprika powder, chili, herbs

How to prepare it:

Soak the cashew nuts in warm water for at least 2 hours or overnight. Drain the water and place the soft cashew nuts in a blender or food processor with the other ingredients. Blend the ingredients until you have a creamy dip. You can refine the dip to taste with paprika or chilli powder and fresh herbs

Vegan curry and date spread

This dip gives your snacks a subtle oriental flavor. The sweetness of the dates and the tartness of the lemons will tickle your taste buds.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 100 g natural tofu (e.g. from Taifun Tofu)
  • 150 g vegan cream cheese
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 6 pitted dates
  • fresh lemon juice
  • salt and pepper

How to prepare:

Place the natural tofu, vegan cream cheese and curry powder in a tall container and puree. Finely dice the dates and fold in. Season the dip with fresh lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste.

We wish you bon appétit!
