Who doesn't know it: The way is too long to walk, but too short to look for a reasonable train connection. For several reasons, we shouldn't even start talking about driving in Stuttgart's city center.

But my problem: At the moment I don't own a bike and also at friends I observe that the safe and easy parking of bikes in Stuttgart is often not that easy at all. I have found a really cool, medium-term solution for myself: If you have the polygoCard of the VVS, which you can also apply for without a subscription of the VVS, you can wonderfully use the RegioRad in Stuttgart. The highlight: The first 30 minutes on the bike are free of charge. And let's be honest: Who in Stuttgart voluntarily rides a bike for more than half an hour to get from A to B? If you do ride for more than half an hour, you pay one euro per 30 minutes. By the way, the three euros annual fee is credited as travel credit, and the bike of your choice can be easily unlocked with the card at any time and without contact.

You can find out where to pick up and drop off the bikes here: https://www.regioradstuttgart.de/de/rad-finden

Every bike can be parked at all RegioRad stations. How convenient that one station is right around the corner from me ;)
