Travertine limestone was quarried in the Hallschlag district of Stuttgart for many decades. The former quarries are now embedded in a green area. The Stuttgart Adult Education Center now offers a great exploration here.

Get to know the wildlife of the protected biotope and natural monument on the natural history discovery tour to the former travertine quarry and learn more about this archaeological treasure of a natural and cultural heritage site from lecturer Barbara Drescher.

The tour is organized in cooperation with NABU Stuttgart.

The course is currently fully booked, but there is a waiting list. If you register for the course now, you have the chance to get a place despite the course being fully booked. We will inform you if a place becomes available on the course or if an additional course is offered.
