How does the change of the operating system of a city (region) towards more circularity work? Especially in Stuttgart, which until now has defined itself as a car city.
Who and what does it take?
What is already there? What is still missing?
What challenges await along the way?
Where is progress being made and where is there still a "hitch"?

These are the questions we will address over the course of an evening in an informal atmosphere and with a good drink.

Everyone who cares about the sustainable design of Stuttgart and its surroundings is invited - no matter if you are an interested layman, a circular expert or a circular entrepreneur, a city maker or a researcher.

And now in more detail - what exactly is it about?
Cities are the places where the majority of us humans live.
This is where we build, consume, use, and dispose of everything that life has to offer. Cities account for 70% of all resources and 70% of all greenhouse gases released by humans. In addition, about half of all waste is generated in cities. But cities are not only polluters, they are also focal points for the consequences of a changing climate and bear the brunt of the associated challenges.

At the same time, we have a great opportunity in cities to change conditions. Here, we have many levers in our hands, more or less compactly: citizens, administration, companies. If enough players join forces, a city can trim its material flows to circularity.

And it is precisely the question of how this change to more recycling can look for Stuttgart and the region that will be the subject of this evening
