At or after the second meeting of the "Solar Heroes", there was not only a reunion with familiar faces, but also three new comrades-in-arms - Sabrina, Dennis and Bettina - who want to join us on the journey to their own solar system.

Dennis: Solar energy for a condominium

Dennis, owner of an apartment in Stuttgart-West, is a new member of our team. His apartment was extended in 2016, as a result of which he acquired a special right of use for the roof in the owners' association. With a generous flat roof of 70-75 m², which even has a green roof, his home offers ideal conditions for a photovoltaic system. There is also potential for a small solar area in the basement. Dennis is also thinking about integrating a wallbox for his electric car.

Sabrina: Future-oriented energy in a solid timber house

Sabrina lives in a newly built, energy-efficient solid wood house and brings a breath of fresh air to the Solar Heroes. Her home is perfectly prepared for a photovoltaic system on the south-east-facing pitched roof. The use of an air-heat pump underlines the home's overall focus on sustainable energy sources.

Our independent solar expert Robert is enthusiastic about the two new properties and describes both as ideal candidates for a PV system. "These properties are just crying out for solar," is his enthusiastic verdict.

Bettina: Rental apartment with sun terrace

Bettina is another newcomer. She is passionately committed to a new, equitable school and learning culture with heart, head and hand. She has three grown-up children and a school-age son. She particularly loves working together sustainably, researching and discovering, and spinning new ideas and networks. Her project: The terrace of over 20 square meters faces south on the first floor of her rented apartment. She would like to use the sun's energy with a solar system. A rainwater barrel with an inlet from the gutter is also planned. Her wish: to reduce water and electricity consumption in the long term.
